SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state department of health.

There have been 67,119 recorded cases of covid-19. This represents a new state daily record for cases in a day with 1,198.

The 784,975 Utahns who have been tested for covid-19 also represents a new state record for a 24-hour increase. 9,117 Utahns were tested for covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

There are presently 52,860 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 503 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The recovery percentage is presently at 78.8 percent in Utah for all covid cases.

There are 13,815 active cases of covid-19 in Utah. This places the current active case percentage in Utah at 20.6 percent.

There have been 3,619 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. Of these, 188 are currently hospitalized or 4.2 percent. Of the 188, 76 are in ICU or 40.4 percent. ICU is presently 67 percent occupied in Utah.

There were no new deaths for covid-19 recorded in Utah Thursday. With the death total staying at 444, the death percent is currently at 0.661 percent.

Wasatch County saw nine new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the total to 733. The hospitalizations (32) and deaths (7) in Wasatch County remain unchanged in the past 24 hours.
