SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state department of health.

There have been 74,050 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah per Thursday’s report. This is an increase of 1,008 in the past 24 hours.

836,218 Utahns have been tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 6,298 in the past 24 hours.

There are 55,510 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 369 in the past 24 hours. The current recovery percentage in Utah is 74.9 percent.

There are 18,081 active cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of  639 in the past 24 hours. The present active case percentage in Utah is 24.4 percent.

There have been 3,882 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. Of these, 201 are currently hospitalized or 5.2 percent.

Of the 201, 76 are in ICU or 37.8 percent. ICU is 69.9 percent occupied in Utah.

The 459 deaths in Utah attributed to covid-19 remain unchanged in the past 24 hours. The current death percentage is 0.619 percent.

In Wasatch County, there were six new cases of covid-19 recorded in the past 24 hours, raising the total to 799.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.
