Thursday covid-19 Report For Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, covid-19 statistics were updated for Utah by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 50,557 recorded cases of covid-19 in the Beehive State.

This is an increase of 383 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 24 in the same span.

642,761 Utahns have been tested for covid-19 per Thursday’s report. This is an increase of 5,432 Utahns in the past 24 hours.

For the second consecutive day, the positive test percentage dropped. Thursday, it checked in at 7.86 percent. Wednesday, this was at 7.87 percent.

The 24-hour positive test percentage increased to 7.05 percent. Wednesday, this was at 6.04 percent.

There have now been 42,512 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 575 recoveries in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 167 in the same span.

The recovery percentage increased to 84.08 percent. This is an increase of 0.5 percent in the past 24 hours. Wednesday, there was a 24-hour growth of 0.14 percent in the recovery percentage from Tuesday.

The gap between all-time cases and recoveries shrank to 8,045 Thursday. This is a decrease of 192 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 7,643 active cases in Utah. This represents a drop of 195 active cases in the past 24 hours.

The current active case percentage in Utah is 15.11 percent.

There have been 3,015 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 19 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 120 hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of two in the past 24 hours, causing the covid-19 current hospitalization percentage to increase to 3.98 percent. Wednesday, this was at 3.93 percent.

The ICU current covid-19 hospitalization percentage is 34.1 percent as 41 of the 120 are in ICU. Wednesday, this percentage was at 33.89 percent.

ICU is presently 64.9 percent occupied in Utah.

The deaths in Utah attributed to covid-19 increased by two in the past 24 hours to 403 deaths.

This caused the death percentage to decrease to 0.797 percent. Wednesday, this was at 0.799 percent.

In Wasatch County, there was one new recorded case of covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This increases the net case total in Wasatch County to 625 cases.

The hospitalizations (25) and deaths (6) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours. The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 26.
