BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah-Thursday morning, three lightning-caused fires which started overnight grew in Box Elder County.
The Pelpin, Matlin and Bar H fires were each reported Wednesday evening. All of them are burning northwest of the Great Salt Lake in the remote portion of Box Elder County.
Utah Wildfire gave a succinct report on them Thursday morning.
Firefighters are making progress on the #MatlinFire estimated at 8,000 acres, the #PeplinFire estimated at 1,000 acres and the #BarHFire estimated at 700 acres. Structures no longer threatened. Today crews will construct control lines and begin to mop-up. #ffslkw

With structures no longer threatened by any of these blazes, firefighting crews will commence in constructing control lines and mopping up all three fires.
