The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Pulls All Senior Missionaries From Europe, All Sick Missionaries As Well

SALT LAKE CITY-Per a report from KSL News Radio in Salt Lake City, Thursday, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will send all senior missionaries home from 22 missions across Europe.

Furthermore, all sick missionaries of any age in these missions are also being sent home.

The Salt Lake City-based faith says it is doing this to protect those who may be at a heightened risk for complications for the COVID-19 virus, also known as coronavirus.

In the meantime, these missionaries will not receive a new temporary assignment. Rather, they may be considered for possible reassignment should these conditions change.

Affected missionaries are being sent home from the Adriatic South Mission, the Alpine (German-speaking) Mission, the Belgium/Netherlands Mission, the Czech/Slovak Mission, the Denmark Copenhagen Mission, the England Birmingham Mission, the England Leeds Mission, the England London Mission, the England Manchester Mission, the Finland Helsinki Mission, the France Paris Mission, the France Lyon Mission, the Germany Berlin Mission, the Germany Frankfurt Mission, the Italy Milan Mission, the Italy Rome Mission, the Norway Oslo Mission, the Portugal Lisbon Mission, the Scotland/Ireland Mission, the Spain Barcelona Mission, the Spain Madrid Mission and the Sweden Stockholm Mission.
