SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave additional updates on the future status of missionaries serving throughout the world.
Missionaries have returned home from all foreign lands with the exception of the Europe and Europe East areas and Taiwan.
For all missions, even those previously cited in this article, all missionaries returning home for any health reasons are to be honorably released and engage in 14 days of self-isolation.
The same is true for elders in the United States and Canada who have more than 180 days (six months of service) remaining.
Sisters returning to the United States and Canada who have fewer than 90 days (three months of service) left are to be released and enter 14 days of self-isolation.
Sisters returning to the United States and Canada who have more than 90 days (three months) remaining are to remain as missionaries, undergo 14 days of self-isolation and then become reassigned.
Missionaries returning to their home country in Africa are to go directly to their assigned mission.
Missionaries returning to all other home countries are to remain in their original mission or be temporarily reassigned as necessary.
All other missionaries who do not fit these descriptions are to complete their missions as scheduled.
