(Spanish Fork, UT) — A 16-year-old hiker is recovering after his leg was crushed by a falling boulder at Spanish Fork Canyon. It happened Friday evening, and the rescue effort took more than three hours. The teen was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery for a broken femur.
