SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday, covid-19 statistics in Utah were updated by the state department of health.
Since statistics began being kept, there have been 41,175 recorded cases of covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 473 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 33 in the same span.
There have been 536,716 people tested in Utah for covid-19 since statistics began being kept. This is an increase of 3,456 in the past 24 hours.
This increased the overall positive test percentage to 7.67 percent as Saturday, this number was at 7.63 percent. The 24-hour positive test percentage increased to 13.68 percent. Saturday, it was at 11.63 percent.
There have been 29,389 recoveries from covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 642 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 25 in the same span.
Currently, 71.37 percent of all covid-19 cases in Utah are recovered.
There are currently 11,475 active cases of covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is a net decrease of 171 in the past 24 hours.
Currently, 27.86 percent of all Utah covid-19 cases are active cases.
There have been 2,430 hospitalizations from covid-19 in the Beehive State since statistics began being kept.

There was one new death recorded in Utah attributed to covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This increases the death total to 311 in the Beehive State, causing the death rate percentage to drop to 0.755 percent. Saturday, this was at 0.761 percent.
Wasatch County saw six new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This increased the case count to 531 in Wasatch County. The hospitalizations (20) and deaths (4) attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County in the past 24 hours remained unchanged.
The last death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
