SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday, the latest COVID-19 statistics were released for the Beehive State, with numbers slightly up from Saturday’s totals.
There are presently 5,175 positive tests for COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 194 positive test cases from Saturday-Sunday. It is also a net increase of 41 positive tests over the course of the past 24 hours. However, of those, 2,283 have recovered. This means that roughly 44.2 percent of Utahns who tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered.
There have been 122,104 total tests for COVID-19 administered in Utah. This means that the overall positive test percentage has risen from 4.228 percent-4.238 percent.
Of the 4,300 Utahns tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, 194 tested positive, meaning 4.5 percent of Utahns tested from Saturday-Sunday tested positive for the disease.
There have been 436 hospitalizations for COVID-19 in the Beehive State which is an increase of 18 from Saturday’s totals. There is one new death in Utah from COVID-19, bringing the count to 50.
Wasatch County now has 159 cases of COVID-19, an increase of 3 from Saturday’s totals. There remain only 7 hospitalizations from the virus in Wasatch County and one death which occurred April 10.
