Spring Conditions on the Uintah-Wasatch-Cache National Forest

HEBER CITY, Utah-Per a report in the Wasatch Wave, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest officials are advising recreationalists of the inherent dangers on muddy and wet forest roads.

At high elevations, some roads may still be snow-covered and the saturated soils may also cause unstable conditions, rock slides and erosion to currently existing roads.

Hikers need to exercise good judgment in deciding where they want to have their outdoor adventures as well. This rule also applies to drivers in these areas, the forest confirms.

Furthermore, when water is flowing across roads, outdoor adventurers should be extremely cautious in such situations.

Flood water, caused by melting snow at higher elevations, can be really difficult to navigate through as well.
