Southeastern Utah Lays Down Own Restrictions

PRICE, Utah-This week, the Southeast Utah District Health Department issued an amended public health order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The health department issued the original public health order March 17.

They have since added to it following Utah Governor Gary Herbert’s directive which was released March 27.

These restrictions are for Carbon, Emery and Grand Counties:

-hair and beauty salons will be closed. These include nail salons, barber shops, body art establishments and massage/tanning facilities.

-added guidance for safety measures by construction crews on construction sites

-residents may only camp in counties of their residence

-overnight lodging facilities may allow overnight stays of one night for those with emergency needs or fatigue

-This will expire at April 15, at which point the situation will be reassessed.
