SLC Mayor Unveils Flags That Comply With New Law

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall has unveiled a series of flags in an apparent attempt to get around a new law. They are variations of the Pride, Juneteenth and transgender flags. Since they’re officially sanctioned, they aren’t covered by the state law that bans non-sanctioned flags. Republican State House Speaker Mike Schultz condemned the move, calling it “a clear waste of time and taxpayer resources.”
