(Salt Lake City, UT) — Services have been set for former U.S. Congresswoman Mia Love. Her family announced Sunday that she passed away after battling brain cancer. Love, who was the first Black Republican woman in Congress and Utah’s first Black lawmaker, will lie in state on April 6th. Memorial services will take place the following day at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Institute of Religion at the University of Utah.
