(Washington, DC) — Senator Mike Lee is hoping Taylor Swift might throw her support behind a bill he’s introducing in Congress. The Utah Republican made a post on social media on Saturday asking Swift and her publicist to learn more about a bill called the PROTECT Act. Lee said the bill would help get harmful deepfake images removed from pornography sites and would give victims a way to sue if the companies don’t take them down. Swift was reportedly furious after A-I technology was used to fake pornographic images of her and could take legal action. Lee says he plans to reintroduce the bill this week.
