WASATCH COUNTY, Utah-Saturday morning, reports surfaced that the search is winding down at Strawberry Reservoir for boaters reported missing Thursday around 2:30 pm.
Friday evening, they were identified as brothers 70-year-old James “Jim” Gardiner of Salem and 61-year-old Mark Gardiner of Pleasant Grove.
In a report from Fox 13 News of Salt Lake City, Wasatch County Sheriff Jared Rigby confirmed their fishing gear was on the boat with a fish hooked on the fishing line.
Sonar equipment was also used to scan the waters, Rigby stated, although all attempts proved unsuccessful.
