SCOTUS Denies Lyman’s Challenge

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The U.S. Supreme Court will not hear a challenge by former Utah lawmaker Phil Lyman. The high court announced yesterday it had declined Lyman’s effort to disqualify Governor Spencer Cox from last year’s election and from office. The Blanding Republican had lost a primary contest to Cox last year by more than 37-thousand votes. He was challenging a Utah law that allows a dual path to the primary ballot.
