Saturday covid report for Utah; Wasatch County Experiences 8th Death

SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, Wasatch County was reported to have suffered its 8th death from covid-19 via information released by the Utah State Department of Health.

We have reached out to the Wasatch County Health Department concerning the cause of death but have received no response as of yet. We will publish this as soon as possible.

Wasatch County has 826 recorded cases of covid-19, a net increase of 16 in the past 24 hours. The hospitalizations (34) increased by one in Wasatch County in the past 24 hours.

There have been 76,225 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah per Saturday’s report. This is an increase of 1,068 in the past 24 hours.

852,680 Utahns have been tested for covid-19 in Utah, an increase of 7,097.

There have been 56,751 recoveries from covid-19 in the past 24 hours, a net increase of 584 in the past 24 hours.

For the second consecutive day in Utah, new recoveries (584) exceeded new active cases (482).

74.4 percent of cases in Utah are recovered and the active cases (18,998) represent 24.9 percent of all covid-19 cases in Utah.

There have been 3,956 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah per Saturday’s report. Of these, 176 are currently hospitalized or 4.44 percent. Of the 176, 65 are in ICU or 36.9 percent of ICU. ICU is presently 70.3 percent occupied in Utah.

The 476 deaths attributed to covid-19 are 0.624 percent of all-time covid-19 cases in Utah.
