SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state department of health.
84.2 [84.16] percent of cases statewide (281,854-334,889) are recovered.
15.4 percent of cases statewide (51,453-334,889) are active cases.
In the past 24 hours, new recoveries (1,946) exceeded new active cases (-186) and new net recorded cases (1,771).
There are 230,401 more recoveries than active cases statewide.
222,275 vaccinations have been administered statewide.
194.733 Utahns (87.61 percent) have received one dose of the vaccine. 27,542 (12.4 percent) Utahns have received the recommended two doses.
In Wasatch County, 2,401 residents have been vaccinated. 2,256 Wasatch County residents (93.6 percent) have received one dose. 145 Wasatch County residents (6.04 percent) have received two doses.
This past week, the state department of health declared that all Utahns 70 or older are eligible to receive the vaccine. Those interested can contact the Wasatch County Health Department.
Of the 12,948 all-time hospitalizations for covid-19 statewide, 481 are currently hospitalized or 3.72 percent.
Of the 481, 196 are in ICU or 40.74 percent of ICU occupancy. 90 percent of ICU beds are occupied statewide and 92.7 percent of ICU referral center beds.
1,582 deaths have been attributed to covid-19 statewide or 0.472 percent of all-time cases.
Wasatch County School District has 75 active cases out of 604 all-time cases or 12.42 percent.
Wasatch County has 3,906 all-time cases, 88 all-time hospitalizations and 16 all-time deaths attributed to the virus.
