Saturday COVID-19 Numbers Are Slightly Down

SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, COVID-19 numbers were released for the Beehive State.

There have presently been 4,981 positive tests for COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 153 positive tests from Friday. However, this is a -3 decrease from Friday. Since Utah commenced the Moderate Risk phase, positive tests are -24.

There have been 117,804 COVID-19 tests administered in Utah and there were 5,246 tests administered in the past 24 hours.

This slight reduction has caused the overall positive test percentage to drop to 4.28 percent.

Of the 5,246 tested in Utah over the course of the past 24 hours, only 153 tested positive which means only 2.9 percent of Utahns tested Friday-Saturday tested positive.

There have been 418 hospitalizations for the disease in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 15 over the course of the past 24 hours.

There were three new deaths in Utah from COVID-19 from Friday-Saturday, bringing the state’s net total to 49.

In Wasatch County, there was only one new case in the past 24 hours for COVID-19. This brings the county’s total to 156. There remain only 7 hospitalizations for the disease from Wasatch County and only one death. This occurred on April 10.
