Proposed Legislature Sets Rules For Children On Social Media

(Salt Lake City, UT) — New legislation being proposed in Salt Lake City would change the way minor children use social media across Utah. The Social Media Regulation Act would require social media platforms to verify if a user is a minor and if so, would then require the child to obtain parental consent before opening an account. A public hearing on the legislation is scheduled for November 1st at the Utah State Capitol.
