SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, LDS Business College president Bruce Kusch addressed students, faculty and staff during the school’s regular devotional March 17.
This occurred over a live-stream broadcast instead of in the Assembly Hall at Temple Square as was originally planned.
Kusch reminded students to continue to make devotionals part of their weekly worship routine.
Kusch confirmed that as long as Church-owned schools are restricted to online courses, live-stream devotionals are to consist of an opening prayer, a brief message from speakers and a closing prayer.
Kusch then cited Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day president, Russell M. Nelson, as an example of how to calmly handle crisis.
Kusch called President Nelson “happy, joyful and optimistic” during his COVID-19 address which was released Saturday.
Kusch then shared his testimony that we are led by prophets in these latter days and closed with the Savior’s remarks shared in the Bible, “Be of good cheer.”
Livestream devotionals from Brigham Young University, BYU-Hawaii, BYU-Idaho and LDSBC will remain online weekly as instruction at each of these institutions continues remotely.
