(Salt Lake City, UT) — A new poll is showing more support for legalizing recreational marijuana in Utah. The Deseret News/Hinckley Institute of Politics poll interviewed 805 registered Utah voters last month. Fifty-three-percent of those asked showed some level of support for legalization. That compares to the 40-percent support the idea received in a similar poll in 2023. The new poll also showed that 77-percent of those asked support Utah’s current medical marijuana law.
