(Salt Lake City, UT) — Police cleared out many pro-Palestinian protesters at the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City last night after the demonstration was deemed unlawful. The university released a statement, saying the demonstrators have a right to express their viewpoints, but can’t set up structures and camp overnight. Police showed up at the campus in riot gear, and most of the protesters dispersed. However, a few demonstrators still reportedly remained at the scene shortly before midnight.
