Park City Becomes First Utah Community To Ban Plastic Bags 

(Park City, UT)  –  Park City will become the first community in Utah to ban the use of plastic bags at grocery stores.  The city council voted last week to enforce a bag ban at Park City’s three grocery stores beginning in late June.  A Park City spokesman says the bags litter the streets and create problems for the city’s recycling system.  City officials hope the ban will persuade more people to use reusable bags.
