SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A semi-truck has crashed into a Utah condominium community near the location of a similar crash last year.
KUTV-TV reported Thursday that Utah Highway Patrol reported that a semitruck carrying chocolate milk crashed into condos in Garden City about 122 miles (196 kilometers) north of Salt Lake City.
Authorities say the crash was a result of overheating brakes and that the driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Officials say the crash occurred just west of where a semitruck drove into a sporting goods store October of last year after its brakes overheated on U.S. Highway 89 killing the driver.
Authorities shared a video on Twitter of the semi driving down the highway and crashing into the condo community.
Authorities say it was “very unfortunate no one was in this semi’s path.”
