Old Main Building Evacuated At Utah State Over Suspicious Package

(Logan, UT) — Utah State University issued an emergency alert yesterday afternoon ordering the Old Main Building to be evacuated due to a suspicious package. The alert went out at 2:45 p.m., instructing occupants to leave immediately and follow directions from emergency personnel. USU spokesperson Amanda DeRito said police responded to the scene. By 3:45 p.m., authorities cleared the situation, declared the building safe, and scheduled activities resumed as normal. This came just hours before a Turning Point USA campus event.
