New Federal Initiative Help Conserve Southern Utah Forests

(St. George, UT) — A new federal initiative would update how management works with old-growth forests. President Biden issued the proposal and in it new plans on vegetation management. It would bring an end to economic reasoning when deciding to tend, harvest or regenerate trees. The first ever nationwide inventory of forests would also take place. The US Forest Service is taking public comments until February 2nd.
