(St. George, UT) — Utah anglers have had plenty of chances to catch a fish this year. The Division of Wildlife Resources says nearly 13 million fish were stocked in more than 700 water bodies across the Beehive State this year, including in Washington and Iron counties. That’s a more than ten percent increase compared to last year, and the most over the last five years. DWR says it has been stocking smaller fish in areas with higher growth rates, while stocking less, but bigger, fish in other areas to increase their chances of survival.
