(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah Education Board member Natalie Cline may face impeachment after posting a now deleted accusation of a high school girl being transgender. The board has already received at least 180 complaints and board leadership stated concern for the girl accused. After the accusation she had to have a police escort around her high school due to the number of threats against her. Both leaders in Utah’s House and Senate have said they are looking into ways to take action against Cline. In a rare joint statement both Governor Cox and Lt. Gov. Henderson said that the actions taken by Cline embarrassed the state. Cline has been reprimanded in the past for controversial Facebook posts.
