SANDY, Utah-Monday, the state of Utah revealed Mountain America Expo Center of Sandy will be an alternate care site during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This represents a backup plan for the state should the medical system become overwhelmed by numerous patients in need of hospitalization.
By all accounts, Utah is in good shape for all patients needing beds at hospitals per figures revealed by state epidemiologist Angela Dunn Monday.
Mountain America Expo Center is currently set up for 250 beds and can furnish as many as 1,000 patients if circumstances necessitate it.
