(Salt Lake City, UT) — Mormonism is seeing congregational growth in parts of the world, but a slowdown in the U.S. The conclusion comes from a recent report called Top 10 Encouraging and Discouraging LDS Growth and Missionary Developments in 2016. The independent Mormon demographer behind the study says an increase in U.S. congregations last year amounted to just less than a half percent, slower than prior years. Significant congregation growth is reported in Africa, Asia, and Central America.
