(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Mormon Church is asking world leaders to do what’s best to “meet human needs and relieve suffering.” The Church issued a statement Saturday reacting to an executive order on immigrants and refugees signed by President Donald Trump. The Church said it is concerned with the welfare of “all of God’s children” around the world, but with a special emphasis on those fleeing violence and religious persecution. The statement urged governments around the world to “cooperate fully” in finding the best solution to help those refugees.
