SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, statistics were updated for covid-19 in the Beehive State by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 41,529 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 354 cases in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 119 cases in the same span.

There have been 540,182 Utahns tested since statistics began being kept. This is an increase of 3,466 in the past 24 hours.

This caused the positive test percentage to increase to 7.68 percent. Sunday, this was at 7.67 percent. The 24-hour positive test percentage slumped to 10.21 percent Monday. Sunday, this number was at 13.68 percent.

There have been 29,967 recoveries in Utah per Monday’s totals. This is an increase of 578 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 64 in the same span.

The overall recovery percentage increased to 72.15 percent Monday. Sunday, this number was at 71.37 percent.

There are currently 11,248 active cases in Utah, representing a net decrease of 227 in the past 24 hours.

This dropped the active case percentage to 27.08 percent in the Beehive State.

There are presently 18,719 more recoveries in Utah than active cases. This represents a net differential of +805 for recoveries in the past 24 hours in the Beehive State.

There have been 2,450 hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah since statistics began being kept. This represents an increase of 20 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 207 hospitalizations for covid-19. This is a net increase of four in the past 24 hours, causing the current hospitalization percentage to increase to 8.44 percent. Sunday, this number was at 8.35 percent.

The cases in ICU who are currently hospitalized for covid-19 dropped to 83. This is a net decrease of one in the past 24 hours. This caused the current ICU covid-19 hospitalization to drop to 40.09 percent Monday. Sunday, this number was at 41.37 percent.

There was an increase of three deaths attributed to covid-19 in the Beehive State in the past 24 hours. This raises the death total to 314 and increases the death rate to 0.756. Sunday, this was at 0.755.

Wasatch County saw two new cases of covid-19 recorded in the past 24 hours. This raises the net case total of covid-19 cases in Wasatch County to 525. The hospitalizations (20) and deaths (4) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours in Wasatch County.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
