Monday Stats For covid-19 in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, statistics were updated for covid-19 in Utah by the state department of health.

Since statistics have been kept, there have been 38,409 recorded cases of covid-19 in the Beehive State.

This is an increase of 436 positive cases in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 86 cases in the same span.

There have now been 509,858 people tested for covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 4,507 tests in the past 24 hours.

The overall positive test percentage slightly increased to 7.53 percent Monday. The 24-hour positive test percentage is 9.67 percent Monday. Sunday, this was at 6.71 percent.

There have been 25,321 recoveries in Utah from covid-19. This is an increase of 523 recoveries in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 115 recoveries in the same span.

The recovery percentage increased to 65.92 percent. Sunday, this was at 65.3 percent.

There are currently 12,808 active cases in Utah. This is a net decrease of 94 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 152 in the past 48 hours. The current active case percentage in Utah is 33.3 percent.

There are presently 12,513 more recoveries in Utah than active cases. This represents a net increase of 437 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 2,253 recorded hospitalizations in Utah from covid-19 since statistics began being kept. This represents a net increase of 19 in the past 24 hours.

Current hospitalizations in Utah for covid-19 dropped by three in the past 24 hours. With 207 current hospitalizations for covid-19 in the Beehive State Monday, the current percentage is 9.18 percent. Sunday, this was at 9.4 percent. The current covid-19 hospitalizations in ICU remained unchanged in the past 24 hours, staying at 83. The current covid-19 hospitalization percentage in ICU is 40.09 percent. ICU is 59.3 percent full.

There have been 281 deaths in Utah attributed to covid-19 per Monday’s statistics. This represents a net increase of seven deaths in the past 24 hours, raising the death rate percentage to 0.731 percent. Sunday, this number was at 0.721 percent.

Wasatch County contracted no new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This kept the net case total at 515 Monday. The hospitalizations (20) and deaths (4) remain unchanged since Sunday. The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
