SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, covid-19 statistics were updated for Utah by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 52,107 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This represents an increase of 253 cases in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 195 in the same span.

659,855 Utahns have been tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 4,348 tests in the past 24 hours.

This decreased the positive test percentage to 7.89 percent. This checked in at 7.91 percent Monday. The 24-hour positive test percentage decreased to 5.81 percent Monday. Sunday, this was at 9.05 percent.

There have been 43,990 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 266 recoveries in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 116 recoveries in the same span.

This caused the overall recovery percentage to increase to 84.42 percent Monday.

The differential between all-time cases in Utah and active cases decreased to 8,117 Monday. This is a decrease of 13 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 7,711 active cases in Utah . This is a decrease of 13 in the past 24 hours as the active case percentage dropped to 14.79 percent. This was at 14.89 percent Sunday.

The differential between recoveries and active cases in Utah increased to 36,279 Monday. This is an increase of 279 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 3,093 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 13 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 125 hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 9 in the past 24 hours, causing the percentage to increase to 4.04 percent. Sunday, this was at 3.76 percent.

The ICU current covid-19 hospitalizations remained at 45 Monday. This caused the ICU percentage to decrease to 36 percent. This figure was at 38.79 percent Sunday. Presently, 57.6 percent of ICU in Utah is occupied.

For the third consecutive day, Utah saw no new deaths attributed to covid-19. This caused the death total to remain at 407, causing the death percentage to drop to 0.781 percent. Monday, this was at 0.784 percent.

In Wasatch County, there were six new cases of covid-19 recorded, raising the net total to 639 net cases. The hospitalizations (25) and deaths (7) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours. The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.
