Monday Report for covid-19 In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, statistics were updated for covid-19 in Utah by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 49,364 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 249 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 52 in the same span.

There have been 626,354 Utahns tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 1,528 in the past 24 hours.

The positive test percentage increased to 7.88 percent Monday. Sunday, this was at 7.86 percent.

The 24-hour positive test percentage increased to 16.4 percent Monday. This was at 12.17 percent Sunday.

There are 41,164 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 333 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 176 in the same span.

The recovery percentage in Utah has increased to 83.38 percent. Sunday, this was at 83.13 percent, representing an increase of 0.25 percent.

The differential between all-time covid cases in Utah and recoveries shrank to 8,200 Monday. This is a decrease of 84 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 7,810 active cases for covid-19 in Utah. This is a decrease of 89 in the past 24 hours.

The current covid-19 active case percentage in Utah is 15.82 percent.

There are 33,354 more recoveries than active cases in Utah per Monday’s report. This is an increase of 422 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 2,941 recorded hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This represents an increase of 15 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 130 hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. This is a decrease of 8 in the past 24 hours, dropping the covid-19 current hospitalization percentage to 4.42 percent.

There is one less current covid-19 hospitalization in ICU in the past 24 hours, decreasing the total to 57 per Monday’s report. This caused an increase in the ICU percentage to 43.84 percent. Sunday, this was at 42.02 percent. Currently, 66 percent of ICU in Utah is occupied.

There is one new death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County Monday. This raises the death total to five in Wasatch County since statistics began being kept. This death was a woman between the ages of 65 and 84 who passed away at an unspecified location, per the Wasatch County Health Department.

There are 390 deaths in Utah that have been attributed to Wasatch County. This increases the percentage to 0.790 percent from Sunday’s 0.783 percent.

Otherwise, the net cases for Wasatch County (615) and hospitalizations (25) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours.
