Mitt Romney Praises Package Agreed To Late Tuesday Evening

SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday morning, Utah Senator Mitt Romney, still in self-quarantine after testing negative for COVID-19, praised an agreement made on Senate packages which provides financial assistance to workers, families and small businesses per a release.

Romney said he was pleased because this includes several important provisions he pushed for. These include direct cash relief for workers and families, grants and loans for small businesses to keep their employees and an expansion of unemployment insurance to assist immediately laid-off and furloughed workers.

It also entails greatly-needed relief for medical personnel on the front-lines and a bipartisan measure he introduced in hopes of strengthening the supply chain for hospitals to have necessary equipment and supplies.

He concluded by saying this bill must be passed without any further delay.
