Midway Power Lines to be Buried

Midway’s City Council unanimously approving the joint conditional use permit submitted by Rocky Mountain Power and Heber Light & Power to construct new transmission lines to carry power coming through the southern portion of Midway. A survey showed 70% of those surveyed agreed that they wanted to see the transmission lines buried even at an extra cost. Members of the “Valley Opposition to Large Transmission Lines” (VOLT) working to raise the $1.5 million to fund the burial of the lines that will go through Midway City, however time is running short for a March 1st deadline.
