Mia Love Endorses Kim Coleman In 4th Congressional District Primary

SALT LAKE CITY-Former Utah State Rep. Mia Love confirmed she will be endorsing Kim Coleman in the four-way GOP 4th Congressional District Primary race Wednesday.

Love says she supports Coleman “because she is working her tail off and had the guts to jump into a race early that was going to be the most difficult district in Utah.”

Coleman is on the June 30 ballot to square off against former NFL defensive back Burgess Owens, former KSL Newsradio host Jay McFarland and Trent Christensen. Christensen was a former regional finance director for now-Utah Sen. Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.

Coleman and Owens were picked as primary candidates by Republican delegates at last month’s virtual state party convention.

Owens, McFarland and Christensen each qualified for a place on the ballot by collecting voter signatures.

Love had perpetually expressed concerns about Utah’s GOP field, saying she was considering running before detecting a candidate, Coleman, who could take on Democratic counterpart, Rep. Ben McAdams.
