CHICAGO-Per a report released Wednesday, Chicago-based McDonald’s has announced the permanent closure of 200 restaurants across the United States.
This announcement comes after an earnings call Tuesday revealed a 30 percent drop in revenues since covid-19 occurred.
This will close low-volume outlets, most of which are located inside of Walmart stores.
The Heber City McDonald’s, located at 610 S. Main in Heber City, is not in danger of closure per a statement they made to Heber Valley Radio.
The Financial Times confirms McDonald’s has seen its lowest quarterly profits in 13 years.
However, reports also attest that drive-thru locations are doing exceptionally well at these times.
As of August 1, McDonald’s will require customers to wear face masks at nearly all of their 14,000 locations across the nation.
Anyone who does not have a face mask will be given one upon entry, per reports.
