HEBER CITY, Utah-Saturday, a man was arrested after injuring a pregnant woman and a man in a head-on collision with a stolen vehicle in Wasatch County.
The 22-year-old Tyson Uresti was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, an invalid driver’s license, reckless driving, failure to operate within a single lane and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
Saturday morning, per KUTV-2 News of Salt Lake City, at 12:40 am, Uresti was driving a black Ford Explorer westbound on U.S. Highway 40 when he lost control and veered into eastbound traffic.
His vehicle struck an oncoming silver Audi in a head-on collision after which Uresti fled the scene.
The two passegners in the Audi, a man and pregnant woman, left the scene in critical condition by air and ambulance.
Utah Highway Patrol then set up a containment for Uresti after which they arrested him and booked him in the Wasatch County Jail in Heber City.
Uresi was also arrested for theft of a vehicle in Sanpete County this past May according to a probable cause statement.
