Lee Pleads With Interior Nominee To Undo Bears Ears

(Washington, DC)  –  Senator Mike Lee is urging President-elect Trump to undo a national monument designation in southeastern Utah.  Lee asked Interior Secretary nominee Ryan Zinke to reverse the creation of the Bears Ears National Monument yesterday during his Senate confirmation hearing.  Zinke said Trump may be able to change the boundaries of the monument but may not be able to do away with Bears Ears altogether.  Utah’s attorney general is considering a lawsuit to try to get rid of the monument completely.Â
