(Salt Lake City, UT) — Salt Lake City is more than ready to host the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2030 or 2034. That’s what Governor Spencer Cox and Mayor Erin Mendenhall told reporters this week. Mendenhall said there’s strong public support to bring the games back to the city, while Cox revealed that elected leaders are 100-percent behind it. In a recent board meeting, leaders said 93-percent of venues and 19-hundred hotel rooms have already been contracted to host the Games. Nothing is guaranteed, but the Salt Lake City-Utah Olympic Committee is feeling confident about the bid.
