LDS Church Honors Upcoming 100th Birthday Of President Nelson

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is getting a one-month head start on wishing President Russell M. Nelson a happy 100th birthday. The church sponsored a “special birthday broadcast” in his honor over the weekend. A video on the church’s YouTube page quotes Luke Chapter 15, Verse Four to “leave the 90 and nine and go after the one which is lost.” A celebration of Nelson’s 100th birthday takes place on September 9th.
