Lawsuit Aims To Keep Trump Off 2024 Utah Ballot

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A lawsuit filed in federal court aims to keep former President Donald Trump off the Utah ballot in 2024. A Texas attorney and longshot Republican presidential candidate John Anthony Castro is suing to bar Trump from the ballot . Castro argues that Trump’s role in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol bars him from running for president under the 14th Amendment. The amendment disqualifies candidates who engage in insurrection or rebellion against the Constitution after previously taking an oath to uphold it.
