(Provo, UT) — Ski resorts in Utah and across the country are seeing a slow start to the season because of the weather and economic uncertainty. As of the end of last month, only about eleven percent of the ski trails were open, compared with 35 to 40 percent of runs that are traditionally open this time of year. The result has pushed down early bookings, which are off by almost seven percent as tourists adopt a wait-and-see attitude before booking a trail
