(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Avalanche Center is warning of increased risk of slides tomorrow and Thursday. A winter storm starting late tonight is expected to bring heavy and wet snow and moderate snows in the mountains of central and northern Utah. Officials say the new, heavy snow will overload fresh powder which recently fell in the backcountry.
