Hundreds Celebrate Bears Ears Designation In Southern Utah

(Monument Valley, UT) — Longtime supporters of a new national monument in Utah are celebrating its creation. Several hundred people gathered Saturday in Monument Valley to praise the new Bears Ears National Monument. The president of the Navajo Nation told those at the event that they need to keep speaking out to keep lawmakers from undoing their hard work. Utah’s attorney general is exploring a lawsuit to undo the creation of the monument.
