HOOPER, Utah-Since the end of March, Hooper resident Nikki Barlow has been generous to those in need in a unique way.
Barlow, a mother of four, has been accepting nonperishable donations that she offers upon her newly-built food pantry near her home.
With her husband’s help, Barlow constructed the pantry, which is about the size of a bookshelf. With used pallets and an old bookcase on it, she received numerous donations.
These include hygiene products, nonperishable foods and DVD’s, oddly enough.
Barlow, who has placed the shelf on the property in front of her family’s home, has inspired others. Four other residents in the Hooper area have also made contributions.
Barlow says she hopes to continue with her contributions to the community as the pandemic continues to grow in the Beehive State.
She also suggests she may continue this service even after COVID-19 passes on.
