Heber Light and Power Listens To Public’s Concerns

HEBER CITY, Utah-Last week, per a report in the Wasatch Wave, the board of directors of Heber Light and Power met to hear comments and questions of citizens concerning costs of burying power lines in Heber Valley as opposed to ensuing in the currently planned overhead line project.

This meeting occurred May 30 at the Heber Valley Council chambers.

The Heber Light and Power staff presented a study to the board outlining potential costs of burying power lines. This study was not available for public view at the meeting, but an analysis of the findings will soon be released.

Heber Light and Power board of directors member, Midway mayor Celeste Johnson, lauded the qualities of a power grid, saying it “works so that others will benefit.”
